GIFTED-SPECIFIC TRAINING

FOR COACHES, THERAPISTS & OTHER SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS

Jennifer Harvey Sallin provides gifted-specific training, mentoring and supervision for coaches, therapists and other support professionals who want to work with the gifted population, or are already doing so. Her two main courses, Gifted Psychology 101 for Psychologists and Gifted Psychology 101 for Coaches, are described below. She also provides training to professionals who would like to learn to provide qualitative assessments for giftedness, or to be better able to understand the cognitive profile of the clients they work with. Finally, she provides individualized mentoring and training, and group supervision, for psychologists, coaches and other helping professionals supporting the gifted.

GIFTED PSYCHOLOGY 101: A COURSE FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS

This online course is for psychologists who want to learn how to better serve their gifted clients. We will go into detail about the following topics:

RECOGNIZING GIFTEDNESS IN CLIENTS

  • How to recognize and evaluate giftedness, giftedness levels, and unique giftedness profiles
  • How to bring up and address giftedness with a client
  • How to overcome resistance to the idea
  • Resources for client self-discovery inside and outside of therapy

There are 6 monthly sessions. There is a lot of reading and homework provided, and live sessions are aimed at discussing and integrating the material together as a group while addressing your additional questions. Cost is 250 Swiss Francs per session. Learn more here.
